I've just rung the lady at the rescue and she said they are getting along really really well so they are ready to be picked up :(|)
I'm soooo excited because Ive really missed her and theres a new piggie!
Shes black with brown specks and her name is Victoria at the moment, but i think I'm going to change it to Laurel Ivy after the place that Iris was buried. Oh also shes 6 months.
I'm so so so soooo excited! I've got everything nice and clean for them both to come home. I also did it because i imagine her moving into a cage and environment with strong smells of Greta and of the late Iris piggie would be really scarey for her. I've ordered lots of treats for Greta and the new little one from pampered piggies and an oval bed and matching blanket from hammocky hammocks.

I might put some pictures up later but ill have to see how she is. If shes really scared and hiding (which i imagine she would be) then i'll leave it until shes much more cheeky.

:)p

awwwwwww sweetie this is wonderful xxxxxxxxxxx

ahhhhhhhhh Iris would be so happy she'll be looking down and popcorning that a little friend is now there for her lovely mate Greta xx>>>xx>>>

I feel just awful that I'm getting one so soon. But i really think it was in the best interests of Greta as she was so bored and lonely. Aparently at the rescue she was hanging out with a big group of girls and really fitted in, i was so proud of her! Then she was paired with the new one that was also in the group and they are getting on very well :)

I'm sure Iris is very happy that her daughter isnt lonely and is happy. Iris has got lots of friends over rainbow bridge now though I bet! I wonder if shes met any of the piggies i had when i was younger?

:)

I am so glad for Greta! Welcome to her new friend! I like all names!

Just see how she is and let her settle. You will bond with her in time, but don't feel guilty if it doesn't happen immediately.

After I lost Minx in a deperate battle with her second bladder stone + cancerous polyp and the remaining stubborn inflammation of the bladder, I was simply not ready for the very shy and undomesticated new boy Dizzy had chosen as her new mate. So for the first few weeks, he was more Dizzy's than my pet... I tried not to let it feel him, though, and now I love him to bits!

Yeah its going to be weird having a nervous piggie all over again. I remember how desperate i was for Greta and Iris to trust me but they came aroind in the end.
This piggies going to have so much fun once shes less nervous. oh i just cant wait :)

Yeah - I'm there back again, myself, with my own new girls! It should be easier for you this time, as the little one will take her clues from Greta.

But yes, I can't wait to hear news, either!

I've just got back from the rescue. Greta actually looked pleased to see me and we cuddled while we chatted about the other piggies and our new little one.
My new little lady is so very nervous, which is to be expected. Shes now hiding in their chube and i just caught her munching on some parsley that i put near the chube so she not too scared :) I think this chube is going to be her new abode for a while :)) I didnt realise how tiny she was until now though, Greta looks huge in comparison! She has such a tiny little face and shes so pretty! I'm in looove x) hehe!

I think Greta enjoyed her stay at the rescue but shes glad shes home. I've seen it like a little holiday for her and the lady at the rescue said shes really brightened up since shes been there, so she must have still be sad about Iris. Now shes got a new friend and shes doing plenty of munching!

As soon as shes settled in a few days I'll put some picture up of her.

p.s. The little one just discovered the house, maybe she'll stay in there now instead :)

I think Greta enjoyed the company of the other pigs, but she's glad to be back home with you again - but with a new friend!

Your little one will adopt a place to hide in and explore from, but as she's bonded with Greta will come out much quicker than if you had just her!

Young ones are so sweet, aren't they? She'll give Greta a new lease of life, and I am so tickled for you that you have fallen for her straight away!

All the best - go and have a good old coo with your little morsel of delight!

I'm so happy for both you and Greta. Her new wee friend sounds like she needs plenty of love and attention and I'm sure she will get that from both of you. I'm sure she will settle quite soon.

And once she's settle you can spoil us all with some gorgeous pigtures. :))
