grey stuff in female guinea pig cage?

so when i was cleaning out my guinea pigs cage today, i saw a dry grey... pellet? its bigger than a pellet, but its really the only way to describe it. I'm not sure what it is.
 
If you have a photo we might be able to say what it is, but without one it’s pure speculation.
