How long does a piggy usually grieve after the loss of a cagemate its been 4 weeks since Parker died and poor Junior hasn't been the same since he is soooo quiet sitting lost in thought most of the time......I want my cheeky troublemaking boy back lolDSC06711.webp

Hi! Please find him a new companion and you will get the sparkle back. some piggies take it worse than others.

Unfortunately, the only recommendable piggy savvy Scottish rescue with quarantine that offers dating at the rescue is in Alyth Perthshire, but if you can get there for a day out, please do! Finding a character compatible friend ensures a stable boar bond and dating a rescue means that there is very little risk of you ending up with two boars that don't get on. A number of Scottish forum members have found a new boarmate for their own bereaved boars at Hutches rescue.

I have been there with piggies of mine and have each time got a very loving relationship out of a rescue dating trip.

He is obviously taking his loss hard. :(

Have you had him checked by a vet in case the stress of the loss has triggered an underlying issue?
