I had two guinea pigs that really never left each other. Recently about a two days ago the oldest passed away. After that I noticed that that the other one was making a strange noise and I’m assuming it is her grinding her teeth. I looked it up and and it said that they might do that out of annoyance from another guinea pig but I was think maybe she could be upset that she is no longer with her. I’m just not sure what to do. The whole situation with everything that has happened just has me worried.

Grinding teeth can be a sign of pain. If she were my piggy I would get her vet checked in case she is ill. Do you know what her cage mate died from? Could it have been an illness this piggy could also have?

well she was sick before the one that died was. I’m not for sure what she died from but she stopped eating and ended up having a seizure and passed away. She is back to normal for the most part. Beside the grinding of her teeth. I will be taking her to the vet though.
