Gritty pee

I’ve noticed that stampy’s pee has started turning into a white-ish gritty texture not every single time she pees but every now and then. I researched it a while ago and apparently it’s something to do with too much calcium in their diet but I’ve started feeding her less calcium but it still is white and gritty sometimes. Any suggestions? Are there some veggies that secretly have calcium in them?

Most people are not aware that the largest amount of calcium in the piggy diet comes actually from the hard water in most of the UK as well as the pellets, not just high calcium veg.
Filtering the water, switching to low/no calcium timothy based pellets (1 tablespoon per piggy per day) and feeding a balanced mix of veg will hopefully prevent further sludge, but cannot deal with what may already have built up.
