one of my female guinea pigs is licking/pulling at the hair of the other female under her chin and making it quite wet.they're both eating fine and their teeth are ok. has anyone any ideas why she is doing this?/

I'm sorry I don't, but I think Africa does this a lot to Leo, apprantly I read once it's a sort of Hello, because sometimes when they are in good spirits both of them like to be stroked there for a short while. Leo's neck is always wet come to think of it, I always thought it was the water bottle, he's a sloppy drinker lol

Perhaps your girl has been eating something nice and juicy and dribbled it down her chin?

I've seen it after my girls got medicine spills. They were often tidied up afterwards by their companion!
