Grooming long hair

Having just taken on a long haired piggie what is the best for grooming him? A comb or brush? I'm thinking probably comb but which is the best sort. Any advice please?

i use a comb for my pigs and some small animal conditioner to groom out the nots

Hi,
Use a mini slicker brush first to break up any tatts, then go through with a wide tooth comb and then with a narrow tooth comb. Never bath knotty as it tightens the knots and makes it much worse. Gorgeous guineas do a fab conditioner to keep fur silky

i use a slicker brush then use my comb I'm lucky that all my long hairs like having a groom lol

I used to use a sot baby brush, whch seemed to work quite well and didn't pull the hair out. Once or twice during the summer months i gave the hair a major trim to hep her skin breathe a bit. x

I have a double sided brush, one side with natural bristles, the other side metal type things! they dont hurt or anything. I use a fine tooth comb when trimming their hair
