Grooming

Hi all i only have short haired guines pigs and dont really groom them but when i did the o ther day i got a few loose hairs out and lots of dust and dry skin so i was wondering if i should start grooming regulare as it will remove all the dead bits how often do you lot groom your short haired piggies xx

i groom mine twice a week, especially around moulting season. i also use this time to feel for bumps and lumps, cuts and bruises etc. also has piggies groom themselves i always worried the little girls will get hair down their thoarts. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: so i would at least brush your piggy once a week and check for lumps and bumps and things. good luck with your fur babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: hugs and cuddles to you all. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I brush George and Mildred every day, they love it especially on their nose gently and in between their eyes, they snuggle right down they relax loads :smitten:

My smooth/short haired I do once a week, my long haired piggies (including the rex & texel) I do twice a week.
I weigh them and trim any toe nails which need trimming while they are out.
