Grooming

I have a texel guinea pig and I'm finding it hard to keep the knots out if his hair :{
His hair has gotten quite long so I'm thinking of trimming it but he looks cute with his hair lol I'm thinking if getting brushes which might work better than the comb I'm using. Agh I'm confused as to what to do with him, what does everyone else do with their long haired piggies ?

I have a long haired boar and whenever his hair gets a bit too long I trim it. They do look cute with long hair but I guess it's a bit more comfortable for him when he's got shorter hair. I brush him with an Options comb which I find does the job perfectly. Except be careful when brushing as if you brush too hard it is really painful for them. Long hairs don't particularly like being brushed, mine squeak a lot but reward them with treats (favourite food). Hope this helps

Brushing often will help and yes a good trim as they do love to store all sorts of things in their quiffs! rolleyes>>>
