Has anyone tried growing their own grass from the brley seeds etc. The vet here said I could grow some grass on my balcony, and then dry it myself and give my piggie?

I was sent some seeds from the US and i carefully grew them and proudly gave some to Duke and he went :P :P :P
Oh well ;D ;D ;D
Good luck i know that Baby Wilson grew some at one stage i'm sure O0

Have you had no luck getting hay? I dont see how a piggy could survive without it :-\

I grow my own grass and they love it but the amount of hay they need to eat would by far outweigh what you could grow!

Murtle have you still not been able to get any hay? As LavenderJade says I can't see how the piggy is going to survive without it. It is the most important part of their diet (75% of their food intake) and is necessary for good digestion and to keep their teeth short.
If you can not buy it in shops are you able to get it on the internet anywhere? I am sure Sally @ Pamperedpiggies would send you some if she could, you probably would just have to pay a bit more for P&P.

I have grown my own grass in the past and am about to start again next week (ish!). I don't give it dried though just fresh as it grows - mine have always preferred it that way.

What do the horses eat in Turkey?
