Growing your own grass?

Quite soon (I hope) I will be moving out and I will be taking Rosie and McMac along with me. The chances are, by what I have found looking around at places, that it will be a flat that I move into. Rosie will be a house bunny and McMac will live in the front room. I was wondering if there isn't a shared garden or anything would it be ok to grow my own grass in little window boxes or trays for them to nibble on? Does anyone else do this? What type of grass seeds would I need? Wheat grass or timothy grass? Thanks

I grown my own grass for the piggies! I use this http://thistlecavies.tripod.com/shop/id2.html it's at the bottom. It's super easy, you literally just pour water on it regularly and it grows really quickly! The pigs love it too and you are helping out a rescue by buying it from there!

Yup! I just cut mine with scissors and it grows back within days
