Hey all!

So my Milton is a baby and he’s eating the big kid food for Harvey, I feel like I need to get him lil guy food, how could I split this up so Milton would eat the baby food and Harvey his? I just feel like they’ll eat whoever’s. should I just supplement Milton instead with veggies? How should I go about this

Someone I know and her piggies were doing the same thing, she just took them out when she fed them, had one in the cage and one in the playpen. I don't know if that's a good idea but you can try. :hmm:

I'm not sure I understand. Little piggies can eat the same food as fully grown piggies, unless you're having to supplement the wee one for health reasons or if the big guy is hogging the food. Maybe you could hand feed the little one some extra pellets or a bit of alfalfa hay. There's a thread in the food section which tells you all you need to know about diet. Good luck x

When Velvet had her babies they ate the same food as she did ie adult pellets, hay and veg from the moment the started eating solid food. They have grown up nice and healthy.

There is no separate diet for babies unless you are supplementing with extra alfalfa and don’t want the adult piggy to eat it (and make him too fat). Babies eat the same diet as adults. And they learn to grab it and eat it in secret if the adults are scoffing it all.

Perfect! No issues then, I just thought the wee ones needed more calcium, therefore the baby food. But if they don’t need it I won’t worry about it, he’s eating just fine!
