Hi everyone,
Today while trimming Harley's nails, I noticed that he has a large growth on one toe where the nail should be. At first I thought it was something stuck to the nail but on closer inspection noticed that it was a growth. He does not seem to be in pain. It is hard like nail. All the other toes are fine, as are his friend Louis' who is housed with him. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I take him to the vet? He is on hay bedding which is cleaned often. I have attached a picture as it is hard to describe! Thanks so much everyone for your help :)

Personally, I would have it seen by a vet. It is in a somewhat unusual place. I wouldn't expect it to be something serious, though.

Hard to see from the photo. Could be a spur as you mentioned its hard. If its a spur its nothing to worry about but hard to tell from the photo so might be better seeing your vet :)
