Hi there, guys. :) I'm a little worried and confused about my piggy, Arnie.

He is just over a year old, but he's HUGE. He's a lot bigger than my other year old Guinea pig.

Arnie is almost as big as my eldest piggie, Leo; who is 6.

Also, he's recently got Pea Eye in BOTH of his eyes...He's just so hefty.

Is it normal for a Guinea pig to be so large at such a young age? :S

I'll try to get some pics if I can so you can see...

Depends on the pig i guess. For me Terry is scrawny and David is huge despite them both eating the same amount of food.

My Smores was HUGE! He was the biggest piggy I had ever seen, and he was only 7 months old when he was that big. Sadly, he got really severe dental problems and lost a lot of weight, making him appear much smaller in his last 2 months :(

Piggies can vary in all shapes and sizes. If the weight increase is all over the body then this is **** just a natural growth spurt. If the weight increase was just in the abdomen area, that could sugest a medical issue such as bloat .. If you can post pics that would be great but it just sounds as though you have a larger piggie. My piggies all vary in size from petite to chunksters:))
