Ok, So as you will be aware (read my post in housing) i am in the middle of WW3 in my house. Whether to bring Honey and Spice in or keep them outside.
If they are inside they will have an 2X3 cage
And outside a 4 foot hutch

My sister is in total opposition of me keeping them inside. Earlier this year i had them in and it was on fleece and i had to admit it was slightly smelly but i didnt have a bottom i just had cardboard.
Today i put a password on the computer because everytime she walked past the cage she kicked it or i would come upstairs and she had pulled one grid off or whatever. Today she found out i had put a password on the computer and when i was out walking one of the dogs she removed all the connectors leaving a big pile of grids everywhere.
She refused to gve me them back so i took the password off the computer and have been arguing since 5pm and i have only judt got them back its 10.30!
I am gutted because mum said i could bring them in for the weekend and i was planning on bringing them in tonight.
Holly has to walk through my room to get to her room and she says the cages blocks her way, when it doesnt.
She also comes out with this:
"Ginger lived 6 years outside and she never died or got ill. Only saddos keep guinea pigs inside. They will be UNHAPPY AND SAD if you keep them in! And mum wont let you"
You can imagine my answer
"Well i dont want them in and if you have them in . i will just pull the cage apart and they will be loose in your room."

I hate her this moment in time.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
She is soooooo stubborn
and shes 2 years younger than me!!

>:(

Cable ties are a lot more difficult to undo. To use on your cage I mean ;D

Is she worried about what her friends will say? They probably won't go any further than your room but maybe she thinks it'll cramp her style?

:o :o :o gee that's a bit mean spirited :-\ :-\ :-\
can you have a chat with mum and your sister at the same time? maybe can you change your room around so you can prevent her way being blocked?
Sorry you have to go thru this love, how difficult for you.
I hope you get to bring the littlies in :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
How unfortunate she doesn't love piggies like you do :-\ :-\

;D ;D I have to agree cable ties would be more difficult to undo. Also I agree to talk with her and your Mom at the same time.

I hope you be able to bring your piggies in soon.

She has her party on Saturday (next sat) and she says i've told my friends about you and how sad you are. Everybody's gonna think your a freak!
I'll talk to mum about it. And get some cable ties and steal all the scissors in the hoouse! ;D

I think you're Guins'll be a hit with her friends which could be a bad thing because they'll distract from her party. I often have 16+ year olds up in the sheds looking at guineas both mates and girlfriends!
If they do ask to look at the guins then I would say that its your sisters party so you'd better ask her if its OK. How old is she?

Why not offer to change rooms as an alternative and that way she has no excuse for going near them

Its times like this, that I am glad I'm an only child ;D Glad their inside now.

Tell her the drop in temperature is harmful for them, not during the day but at night.

I think you're best leaving them out then until they can come in permanantly, temperature changes may be more harmful than the cold. ould you get a shed? or even a hutch hugger and some heat pads? x

I'll get some heat pads and some kind of hutch hugger.
My hutch is the winderemere from P@H so I'm not sure if i can get a hutch hugger 'cause it has a sloped roof.

swap rooms so she doesnt have to walk throught to your room O0

i made the cage smaller so she could get through.
Then my mum told me
"I'm trying to make the house look nice. They dont need to be inside ecpecially today."
i asked her why they wasnt allowed in and she just said "becuase they're not"
If you want them to live in your room. Move to your dads but dont count on it i bet he wont them in either.

GRRR!
She was also telling me she should of got rid of Sienna and just had 1 dog. They've cost her £1000 etc. etc.

Thats all she f****** cares about, money.

GR!

Yeah, they have to be in all the time or not at all, go for the best you can. Maybe suggest that although you're not happy with them going out if she can buy them a hutch hugger etc you'll play ball? Maybe you could have a really cheap shed for xmas? I don't know your personal situation (so don't bite my head off LOL) but you can get a shed for a £100 maybe less- could you have a joint present? That would be including someone putting the shed up for you :)

you know what? would life be awful at your fathers?

i bet you if u sed right I'm shipping out where me and my pigs are wanted thered be a change of heart... lol

but really youve got to do one or the other cos the change all the time is no good for the piggies, i know u want them in but it doesnt look like its gonna happen so ud be better putting your energies into coming up with ways to keep them warm over the winter

hugs for u and the piggies :smitten:

Aww thanks guys!

I might ask for a shed for xmas from my dad but then he lives in Northamptonshire and i live in Norfolk.
There's not room for 2 sheds in our garden so if we got a new one it would have to be huge!
Unless....
i destroy the shed and then we will have to get a new one!
Hehhhee!
Just been watching Con Air so in a distructive mood!

lol, ive just watched the hills have eyes 2 and u could pull something like that on her a$$

::) If you destroy the shed you'll be in bad books again, just be clever 0:) not dramatic!

My step dad is easy persuaded so i'll be like
'Poor Honey and Spice, i bet there freezing outside. If only i could get abigger shed. *sob* Could be get a bigger shed to keep them in?'
Lol
They seemed happy this morning when i went to see them.
They were wheeking there heads off! I put fleece in their bed bit and hay in the lounge bit. They have 2 tunnels, a chube and a log one.
