Wretched Archie isnt eating the lovely new pellets I got him. I know guineas turn their little noses up at things from time to time, but its still annoying.
I got the rosewoods ones, and they smell really nice, nicest of all the pellets I have tried. They taste nice too haha, I like to try them to see. He does eat them a bit if i chew them up and let him lick it off my tongue, but I think only because he likes eating whatever I am eating.
He previously had science selective which I hated, they smelt like dog biscuits. The pets at home ones are okay, as are the burgess. The harringtons was my previous fave. They are still his fave I suspect.
Not really a point to this, just wanted to vent.

Hello! This is my first reply on this forum but I think I can help, today my baby pigs were going for their first check up to make sure they were all healthy (they were ) and I was talking about the fact my pigs are in science selective and I'd heard good things about rosewood meadow menu because it doesn't expand as much and is grain free but they didn't like it and he said it's because it is a harder pellet and harder for them to chew but in this situation better for them because it will help keep there teeth down and ideally at least half of there day should be spent eating so it's good if it
takes them longer. But he said to introduce it very gradually to them. So I will be moving mine onto it once I've used up a bit more of my science selective as I have a couple bags of it.

Mine didn't eat the Rosewood at first either but they ate it after presenting it to them for about a week mixed with some excell. They do take ages to try new things though, 10 months for red pepper! I tend to give them things 3 or 4 times a week and they eat it eventually. They are having floor time at the moment and eating a paper bag, paper bags are so exciting much better than the hay they contain.

We've got 2 of our sows trying Rosewood, started introducing it to them today! They both picked out the new food from the old and scoffed it - I think they must like it :)

He decided last night just as I went to bed, that he was going to eat them, and smashed them around the food bowl while i was trying to sleep :cen:
