Grrrrrr Parents!

Rant: How many times have I told my parents that guinea pigs can't be put outside in the playpen without a hidey-house, in the cold and damp weather.

Today I went to the library, I don't often get out because of my health condition bla bla blah! I haven't gotten out by myself in a long time! So, I spent the day out in town and didn't get back till late. When I got back, I was surprised to see that the cage was open and the guinea's were gone. They were sitting outside in the playpen, in the cold, no shelter or anything! My dad had put them out earlier when it was sunny! That was ages ago! How long were they sitting outside when it got cold?

Of course I rushed out to grab my babies and they were wet and cold Sparkles went straight into his tent and fell asleep. Ida crawled straight into the tunnel and did the same Apart from that, they seem fine, but I'll keep a close eye on them

My parents are used to helping me because sometimes I am too sick or weak to give them playtime outside myself, so they put them out for me. Sometimes they do this for me anyway thinking that the guinea's will be happier outside then inside.

What a shame. It's lovely that your parents are willing to help you when you are not well enough - but, if they are your guinea pigs, you should be able to decide what they do and when they they do it.

I think you'really going to pick a time when uou can discuss this with them.

I hope your guinea pigs are OK

They're fine! At least my dad will be editing my book on guinea pig care and will be reading all about them Mum does seem to understand though
