Dundee, home is in Dalkeith- Edinburgh
*sigh*

I had to come home a day earlier, and of course I wasn't going to leave the lads up in Dundee so they were coming with me. Putting them in their smaller cage for travelling, I was going to flatten my back seats and put the bigger cage in alongside everything else.
Having a Micra officially sucks for such things. It didn't fit! So right now my boys are in the small cage with their two beds, two waterbottles and two food bowls. No space left -_-;

Could they be even more sulky? They have every reason to sulk with me! I feel so bad, but I have nothing else to put them in other than the paddling pool - but that is easily escapable. I asked my friend who used to have a rabbit if they still had their cage but sadly that's gone.

Might find myself some netting or something that I can put over the pool and keep them in there...but that means no run time unless my mum lets me use the kitchen floor.

This is a miserable christmas for me and the pigs so far...BAH HUMBUG grrrr

I'm sure they will be fine. My piggies holiday cages at my dads are smaller than the cages they have at home. Just spoil them with lots of treats and they will soon fcome round..

Haha, yeh I'm certainly gonna have to spoil them now!
All my friends are deserate to see them so they'll get plenty of fuss :) only a little disapointed that my neices aren't gonna be up this christmas, would have been nice to let them play with them.

Thanks for the reassurance guys, I feel rather mean!

Your friends and family will adore the piggies, if mine are anything to go by. I have Xmas dinner at my house and I have to take each of the piggies out for my family to get a wee cuddle. Montmgery loves this and thrives on all the attention and treats. Last year he put on a particularly entertaining popcorn session across my new rug. My family thought this was wonderful although my aunt thought Montgomery was having a fit as she had never seen popcorning before.

I can't wait for the indignant sulking I'm about to receive over the holidays when mine are carted between mine and my parents house.

The glares will be epic.

Haha! What a shame, I bet she got a fright when that happened!
Well my mum's so funny. She hasn't a bad bone in her body but with the oodles of pets we've had over the years her motto is 'no more animals in this house!' so when I got the pigs she was a little scoffy...to say the least!
When I told her I was bringing them back for christmas her automatic reaction was 'they can stay out in the porch then! let them freeze!'

I knew as soon as I put them in the porch with a throw over the cage to keep them cosy she'd be all 'ooh bring them in, it's too cold out there for the wee things' - of course I was right and they're now under the stairs on a table and very cosy!

Haha, she makes me laugh so much :))

Awww, totally hilariously sad :)) I didn't even get glares, they jsut stayed AWAY from me rolleyes

But right now they're in their run in the living room and munching away. So I think they're gonna forgive me shortly ;)

Awww bless, glad they're all cosy :) I was going to suggest you could fashion a 'run' out of some odds and ends to make a barrier, but it sounds like you're sorted anyway :) It is true that piggies are complete heart melters!
I can sympathise with the small car challenges! I managed to squeeze a six foot christmas tree and two people in my Aygo this month though lol! x

With all the commotion and the fuss they are getting, I'm sure that your boys will forgive you for the small cage - especially as they have a run!

Having had my own car/cage struggles with my hubby's BMW (the back officially s*cks as well), I can only sympathise! Thankfully, we've gone estate now...

And I'm so glad that my mother-in-law has never made the connection between the guinea pigs and the missing bits of sofa fringe! :red

Woah that's impressive! Glad you managed it successfully at least :))
Yeh very true - but she keeps complaining about them smelling now (even though I give them a spot clean every day :{)
I'm away to my boyfriend's on Boxing day and the day after for his friend's mum's get together, and on those days sadly my mum will NOT get them out. She'll clean and feed them though, she's not that cruel, but she's not so keen on the whole handling thing. If my sis is still around and willing hopefully she might let them out for a bit *fingers crossed*

A bigger car would be a god-send!
Haha, yeh I had one friend round last night who fussed them and my best friend came round today and was talking away to them like they were children :)) totally loved having them out as she used to be rodent-obsessed. But since getting her cat she's out of practice so was giggling like a mad-lady when Hamish sat nibbling on her jeans!

Oh my! Thankfully my pair haven't been destructive in that sense! I think my mother would automatically blame them and kill me rolleyes
