So I was cleaning behind my fridge the other day and didn't put it right back to the wall. Buddy, my most inquisitive piggie managed to squeeze behind and chewed a wire and received a shock...I found him a bit floppy and lifeless but immediately wrapped him up warm, and gave him some warm sugar water which he responded to well. He's now back in his cage with his guinea pal Piglet and acting just like normal, popcorning, eating and drinking just fine! Should I be worried about lasting damage?
I know it was silly not to put the fridge back properly - I am a seasoned animal owner without incident so far and won't make the same mistake twice!

Oh blimey, poor thing. I would get him checked by a vet just to be sure he is ok. Our original 2 pigs ate our internet and were ok but it is best to be sure.

Oh dear, having received a shock in my right arm through a faulty lamp wire I can empathise with piggy! Sounds like he's come through OK though as I did.

This is something us piggy slaves dread. I hope he's better in the morning.

glad he seems Oki silly piggy well done for treating him well and taking care of him hope he stays safe from now on
