Our guineas have lice and have just been treated for mites as well. My husband has bites on him, they look like insect bites. could be conisidence but were so paranoid about having scabies or something. can anyone help with advice?

thanks :)
were treating them with lice n easy.
Is it possible they are just biting my husband and not living on him?

I would strongly guess that you husband has something else!

I agree with Wiebke, I don't think it's the guinea pigs parasites causing him to be bitten. Walking lice don't bite I think and I'm pretty sure mites don't either. The only thing that could would be fleas but if they have been treated for mites then it usually kills off the fleas too.

If you have scabies you would itch like mad. Scabies bury underneath human skin and its a horrible thing to have and has to be treated asap. If around the feet area it could be fleas?

Scabies is constantly ithcy though and spreads like a ******

I think its insect bites, i would have them too as I'm the one treating them for mites so i would have them. thanks for putting our minds at rest. Its not fleas.
