Hey!
So basically I have recently got 2 very energetic 8 week old sows; tonight I was just watching them run around and have fun when I saw hazel got too excited and spun around to run, but when she's done this she's banged her head on the side of one of her wooden tunnels.
So I know baby piggies are full of energy and I'm an extreme over worrier, but I'm really worrying now!
When it happened she kind of went abit dizzy and was obviously very shocked that she had done this; after about a few seconds she popped back to her normal self and carried on running around and eating, Just because of the fact she clearly did go dizzy and was very shocked has shook me!
It was obviously a hard bang otherwise she wouldn't have reacted like this, half of me is saying don't worry she's a baby and this can happen, Just keep an eye in her and the other half feels sick because I want nothing but the b3st for my babies and you can never be too careful.
If someone could put my mind at rest or give me any advice that would be appreciated!
Ps. She's still eating and playing fine, no head tilt and no sign of movement issues, she looks completely normal but I'm just a worried momma!😭😭

Just keep an eye on her, I’m sure she is fine. If she starts acting strange, stops moving, eating, drinking or popping, then take her to the vets promptly. They do get a bit over excited when they are babies and do the silliest of things x

Hi!

Please take a deep breath! If you girl is behaving normally then odds are that she is perfectly OK!

Keep an eye on her for the next couple of days and see a vet as an emergency in case she suddenly looks off and becomes apathetic. Make sure that you google for vets you can see in an emergency in your area (ideally 24 hour vets) and that you have got their number handy.
Tips For Vet Visits

PS: We are a UK based forum with members and enquiries from all over the world. You can really help us to help you more quickly end efficiently if you please added your country, state/province or UK county to your account details (via clicking on your username on the top bar). This makes your general area appear with every post you make and allows us to take climate, vet and rescue access, medical brand names and general background into account so we can concentrate on what is relevant and available for you instead of keeping things as general as possible. Our default is UK based.

You can find a recommended UK vets locator on the top bar, but we can provide a link to a list of recommended vets in several more countries. These are mainly exotics vets with a waiting time, but well worth seeing if you have more complicated and specialised health issues.
Please make sure that you save up for a vet fund as part of the regular living cost. No pet is cheap, and in a serious case, vet fees can very quickly climb into the hundreds of pounds or dollars. You do not want to be caught out by that as illness and emergency never happens at a convenient time!

Thankyou so much! I know how delicate they can be and I really worried myself x

I understand that feeling.
When my Jemimah was still a baby, on her very first floor time she managed to tear a nail out.
I have a mat with little bloody paw prints, it ruined a tee shirt, I aged 10 years and she was still running around playing
