Guinea pig beds like the cat beds?

Hi all, I thought I would ask this question as I have seen someone on here have a bed for their guinea pigs that is similar to a cat bed I was wondering where was a good place to get one as they look like something Herbie might like. Also I was wondering what a good price is for them.

If anyone can help me please I would appreciate it, if it helps I am from the Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, I don't drive so I can't get very far as I have to use the bus services.

Pets at home have got a new cosy bed for small animals. It's really rigid so they can leap in and out and it's soft and furry inside. I think it's about £10. I want one but I don't think my piggies will really use it, they already have a chair and they just leap about on it, theres definately no lounging.
 
i have bought a small dog bed before today for mine, i got it off ebay for £2-3 and that was ok :)
 
if you look on ebay at guinea pig/rabbit stuff they have cuddle cups (beds) the size you want is only £3.99, they do do a smaller one for £2.99 but i'm not sure those ones are big enough. bigger is better.bargain
 
Poundland do one I think they're classed as cat beds, I think they're too small for cats but great for guineas :) fur inside and material out washable too my buns and pigs have one each theyre great for a £1

if you dont mind me asking, where did you get the chair from?
 
Mine have two chairs but prefer their cosy cups ::) I got my chairs from online Ill try and think who from :embarassed:

do you mean like this? if soo i got this of a website but I really can't remember which website it was from ? i will have a think and let you know. It was around 6 pounds.
 
Hi all, vikki yes that is very similar to what I mean just without the hood bit. If my other half goes up to town sometime soon I will ask him to look in poundland for me as we have a smallish one but I know where a bigger one is. Thank you for all your help as I would like to keep getting Herbie new toys to play.

As I am on a budget I can not spend too mych although I do not want to seem too cheap.

I think I have seen them in Wilkersons too for around £2.00

I got the chair from a local pet shop. It was in their window display, I'd seen them in pets @ home before that but hadn't got round to buying one. I'm not sure they're stocking them anymore though.I haven't seen them in ages.
 
Good morning everyone, Right I have decided that today is the day I go in search of a bed for Herbie I don't think it will be as fancy as Vikki's (I do so love that one) and it might even just be a cat bed but if I think it might suit Herbie then I will buy it for him.

Cavy of course you can see hun as I will take a photo when my parents come back as they are the only one with a camera as mine has packed up and died a death lol.

I have seen one on ebay which I quite like but I was wondering if you could all give me some advice on it please as I will buy one if I can't find anything for Herbie while i'm out this is what the bed looks like.

What do you think does this looks good this one is on ebay for about £5 but I will keep a look out today.

hi, yes that's the one i've seen on ebay, i am gonna get one too, but would like advice too on wether to get the guinea pig one or the larger rabbit one. Anyone got one of these?
 
Hi all, right well I have been to two different Wilkinsons and neither had what I wanted and I also went to two different poundlands (same as Wilkinsons) and I went to a pet stall but they had nothing either and I also went to a pet shop where they wanted between £10-£15 for a small one i think those were the cheap ones and i;m sorry i can't afford that right now so I think I will get the one off ebay but just need to know that it will be ok for him so any advice would be great.
 
I think it will be O.K. for him, I am just not really sure about the size, it looks quite small. :)
 
I use a fleece blanket I got in poundland and put it in a shoe box with the side cut away, Its not in the cage but under my tv where the boyz lay and relax.
 
I think I might get the rabbit one it's only a pound more,
do you have a Range near you?(shop that sells all sorts of household stuff) They do cheap pet stuff
 
They have lots of fab piggie beds of all different shapes and sizes in the fundraising shop section of the Thistle Cavies Rescue website. Buying from them helps out rescue pigs too!
 
Hello, Thank you for all your help, Maisy I am sorry but the nearest one to me is about 30 miles away and since I don't drive I can't get there.

Star I am looking at the website at the moment so I will see what sort of ideas they have for me.

Ginnea I went to two different Poundlands today but neither had anything like that so I will just keeping looking but thanks for the idea.

Cavy it does look quite small but my other half measured him and he is 27 cm long so i will send the seller a message and if it is too small i can always go for the rabbit one. and yes once i get something like a bed or a chair i will take lots of photos lol

thanks all now I'm off to get my hair done purple by a mate of mine lol.
