I have one neutered male and two girls living together in a large run outside, one of my girls, Martha, has two scabs on her, possibly from attacks, I haven't seen them be aggressive except Martha peeing on the boy. I am wondering if it could be a fly bite as we have alot of horseflies around. If the scabs are from the other pigs what should I do? Is there a reason there arguing because of the heat? I also got another male but he is inside while there outside, could my male smell him through the window and start to get a bit hormonal? Any advice welcomed

If you haven't seen any aggression, then I would get them for a vet check in case it is a medical issue first of all.
Keep an eye on them to check they are all getting on ok. The sow peeing on the boar is her way of telling him to go away.
The other male won't be causing any issues.

Scabs, depending on their location, can have many causes including parasites and skin conditions.
As you aren't seeing any obvious signs of aggression I would get you piggy checked by a vet in the first instance.

The male kept inside will not have any effect on the behaviour of your piggies kept outside.

:agr: I would have her checked over by a vet as the scabs could be an indication of health problems that need treating

Hi and welcome

Please have your vet checked. Fights in mixed gender pairings are extremely rare but self-inflicted wounds from pain/itching from skin parasites or fungal is much more common. With plenty of horse flies around, you have to be very careful about flystrike; you can find information on it in the guide link below.
Please don't separate your piggies on spec. It can upset their relationship.

Please make sure that your piggies are well protected in hot weather. Outdoors hutches and runs can easily turn into death traps with the risk of fatalities rising with every year due to climate change. We are seeing the fallout from people underestimating the issue every summer on this forum.

Thank You! I didn't think about a fungal infection. I will phone the vet to see if she needs a fungal or parasite treatment

The vets will not prescribe based on a phone call. You’ll need to book an appointment for an examination.

I know, I meant to phone to book an appointment, I'll make sure the vet does check her over as I know guinea pigs can get ill fast
