So today I tried to weigh the girls and health check them, like I do every Sunday. Nancy went into a tunnel so I picked up the tunnel and picked her up through that (I’ve done this several times before). She almost instantly bit me, drawing blood, and tried to do so again when I had a good hold of her. She’s never bitten me before (the occasional nibble when she thinks she’s getting food but nothing other than that). Anyone know if I should be worried about her because it’s out of character, or did I just spook her?

Hi! You just did spook her when she was way out of her comfort zone.
" Biting" And What You Can Do

I wouldn’t worry yourself about it at all. I have 2 boars, one has never tried to bite me, the other often mistakes my fingers for food and out of curiosity tries to have a nibble. The only other time has been when I have been battling with him to get medicine into his mouth by syringe and he gets a bit upset which is understandable! If you can, try and coax them out of the tube first, or time your weigh in for when they aren’t difficult to get access to so that they see you coming
