Hello!
My name is Julia.
Recently my piggie, Ally, has been very bloated. His stomach is quite hard and big. We have been giving him gripe water, fennel tea, and massaging his stomach, but nothing seems to be working. For a while he has been having a problem where I cannot pick him up from his stomach and he is sensitive around that area. I hope someone could help us, give us advice, or just say what we should do next. Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear this

Please have your piggy seen by a vet urgently.
Severe bloating is very serious and painful requiring prescribed gut stimulating meds and painkillers.

You need to switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh your piggy every morning and step in with syringe feeding.

I’ve added emergency and syringe feeding guides below to help while you get a vet appointment

I hope your piggy is ok

Hi and welcome

Please see a vet as a life or death emergency and step in with feeding and watering support asap. These home medications unfortunately won't work with severe bloat; even less so with a fully developed one, I am extremely sorry to say. :(
Wiebke's Guide to Tummy Trouble

@Piggies&buns has added a link to a guide that explains what you can do with what you have at home or easily available in an emergency as well as care advice for until you can see a vet. The longer you wait the smaller your chances that your boy will make it. Severe bloat is extremely painful and sadly often deadly.

My fingers are very firmly crossed for your poorly boy.
