I've been accused, at work today, of being a guinea pig bore !

I admit i have been talking a lot about them lately cos i'm excited about getting my new rescue pigs, but still ....

Rach x

lol - I'm always accused of being an animal in general bore...whether I'm going on about dogs or pigs or anything really I like to know my stuff and end up boring people to tears....or I go on if I'm excited about getting something. I'm sure they all go on about themselves - maybe not piggies but clothes and soaps and partners etc you just adding a new subject to the mix :))

well, i am a first class piggy bore! everyone knows about their fave treat and all their habits!! LOL! they even know that maggie-may is a diva, bethy is a sweetpea, ruby is the boss, pheobe is a little wotsit and sonny's my little charmer! i was just as bad with my hamsters!

My best friend says I am obsessed and is trying to come up with a medical diagnosis for cavy-obsession :)) :))

Yeah, I always seem to find a way to turn most conversations into something about guinea pigs. I guess people who know me are used to it and don't mind (or at least they don't say so!) :))

At least we all have found this wonderful place filled with other people who never get bored with the piggy talk! :(|)

My friends recognise and even do guinea pig noises/movements - eg the rumble and bottom wiggle meaning 'it's mine' and the wheeking when they want something. So I have been so much of a guinea pig bore it is now part of our communication methods.....humans are so adaptable!

My friends refer to my home as the Ark which is a little unfair as I haven't got that many animals its just that I like to talk about them a LOT!

that's awesome! i do rumbling impressions to my gp lover friends and my other friends are like "WTF?!" lol

My Dad is a proper GP bore, he is nearly 70 and has 11 piggies who he is besotted with. When any of us call home he will give us about a 30 minute update on how they are all doing! Sometimes I'll call to speak to my parents about something in particular and will forget cos we've been lost in piggy conversation for so long.

The deputy head at the school where I work said he had worries about my mental health when I had packages from Gorgeous Guineas delivered to the school, cause I was worried they wouldn't fit through the letterbox! My friends are used to it by now but I am taming my addiction through chatting to like-minded people on here. x

One more for the club - although I can do gardening as well, and it is just as likely to glaze most other people's eyes!

What is this thing about shoes, when you can happily chat about your piggies' latest pranks? I'm just not getting it!

Thankfully, my mum and my sis are piggy-tolerant. Before I discovered this forum they kept me from bursting!

hi I'm also guilty of animal talk in general but mostly piggys people refer to my house as chaotic not that i have that many animals but i have 2 dogs the size of horses,a needy and sooky cocker spaniel,4 piggys that have there own room,a 3 year old little girl,2 guests staying for holidays and soon to be a rescue pair of cats that have nowhere else to go TGPF has helped me release my animal chat though;)so thankyou

No whay do you think we are all on this forum? :))
I guess lots of us have the same problem "outside" that our friends don't always appreciate our guinea pig talk, talk, talk ..... so that's why this forum is great to get rid of all the piggy talk so our "outside" friends don't have to listen to it (or just not as much :)))

I don't mind being called a guinea pig bore....there are lots of worse titles that could be bestowed upon oneself!

My parents get sick of me talking about guinea pigs too, and I think my friends just don't get it :P
