Fines would be brill but it's enforcing them. You'd literally have to visit everyone who had pets.

I've just found out that my Romeo, the boar I've just adopted from the RSPCA, was from this rescue. You can see him in one of the pics :( My poor boy. At least he's safe now.

It's horrifying that most pet shops deal with people like her, not caring about the conditions of their small furries

That's why rescuing is so much better, and comprehensive research must be done before making any decision. People are too blind to things like these, ignorance is never bliss.

Aww bless him :( but just remember that he now has a happy ever after with you and his wives :)

I hope that his friends have all found wonderful new homes too xx

I hope so too Clare. I know there are still a few waiting for homes from that rescue.

I feel like the other person I would never let them have animals again ,cruelty to animals is just not fair and should just not be tolerated

:agr: too.

There need to be way more laws and regulations with serious punishment.

If this was a child farm people would be more upset and action would be taken. It's disgusting that humans think of themselves better/more important than animals

Its awful :( I personally see all animals as equals and by extension more important as they are more vulnerable and rely on us to protect them.

I kept hamsters for 30 years, and I loved every one of them.

But piggies ARE the best, at least for me. You can't beat a piggy lick, or a pancaking piggie. I still like hamsters, but piggies have longer life spans and show more affection.

Hammies will always have a place in my heart, but piggies....

I miss them when I am not home. Period. In work or visiting family an hour away. If I am not home I cannot snuggle. Or give meds. Or laugh at their antics. Or snuggle...did I mention snuggles?

When you mentioned where you were adopting from, I did wonder whether he was one of those piggies rescued. Now you know just how you have changed the world for him immeasurably for the better.

Aww thanks Vicki, those are lovely words. I wish I could have adopted them all, but Romeo has a home for life with me.

Yet if something happened and I could not look after them, I would look for someone else to take them. But what a person that would have to be, and everything I have for them would go with them.

I would do that than let their quality of life deteriorate

I agree with this, but some people are very nice.

But my piggies are my life. They are trusting, cute, funny, show affection, cute, love to snuggle, cute...

Some people are but so many aren't. With potential new friends they have to speak softly and approach me slowly or I'll be spooked and hide under a shoe box.

I have yet to meet an animal I don't like!
