Hi,
so on Sunday I was carrying Smudge and she jumped out of my arms. I checked if she was okay, and she seemed fine. However I was carrying her yesterday and I noticed she has a bony lump in her chest area. She doesn’t seem in any pain (doesn’t squeak when I pick her up and is still eating normally) but she seems less active (still walking but doesn’t run away when I pick her up) I’m rlly worried she might have broken a rib or a serious injury. She can’t go to the vets because of the coronavirus so I don’t know what to do. What are the chances of a broken rib?

Most vets are still providing urgent care, and a possible broken rib is rather urgent- phone your vets and see if they will see her as an emergency to give her an xray. If you tell us where you live perhaps we can advise on vets in your area who are providing urgent care.

I'd definitely ring the vets for advice, she'll need pain relief if it is a broken rib, it'll help her breathing & oxygen levels in her blood to heal quicker too :)
They'll probably recommend an xray.

Please don't put your exact location, just a local city, county or country is fine. There are members all over the world on here so it's easier for us to recommend vets, rescues & drug variations that are local to members :)
Xx

Hi ty for the reply, phoned the vets who said they could only do a phone appointment. However she seems a lot better now and I think she might have just been in shock
