Guinea Pig/bunny just died.. Really need some advice..

Thanks for the congrats! Even though, not the best thing to happen... but I really feel happy... because my daughter is happy.. O0
this is the 1st time in a while that this family has been so excited and happy.. with all the tears, there is finally hope...
 
You learn from experience! :) Congratulations on the babies, at least it was a small litter, better than having 6 to sort out! Baby guineas are just great, I enjoyed mine so much and always planned to keep them, they are a year old next month and just great. It's fantastic having pets from the minute they're born. Just keep asking for advice on here if you need to know anything. Nobody minds how many questions you ask - everyone is pleased to help. That's something I've learned! :)

Like Lez said make sure the other guinea is a female, before putting her and cookie together. You don't want anymore surprise babies!
If the other guinea is a she, and has been in the pet shop with males she could also be pregnant.
Check the sexes of the babies and most recommend separating them from Mum pig at 3-4 wheeks old :)
 
Great advice guys O0 Yes, both females.. have had a 2nd opinion.. :)
The photos I have are so big, I need to re-size them and I dont know how.

(theyre still a bit big, but just means people can see the bubs clearly :smitten:

Is the male piggie in his own cage now :-\ was he in the cage when she gave birth
 
no the male piggy is the one that died it says so eariler in this thread

her cagemate is female. and has been double checked and is deff a female

Oh right - its just that i didnt get it thats all O0 sorry about the loss of him 0:)
 
Unfortunately, none look like bubbles :-\ He was all white.

I'm going to have a go at sexing the babies today.. I went on a great site last night, with great pictures..

Babies are doing so well... Eating some guinea pig mix and running around like crazy O0

I cant see the pics now though, just red crosses :(
 
I can only see red x's also now 98)

As far as i can tell.. the babies are girls! Will check again in another week.. but I had an excellent look... So thats 4 girls! :smitten:
