hi, has anyone got any advice on how to make my own guinea pig cage. I’ve watched a tutorial on YouTube for a wooden homemade one and one made of mesh. My piggies are currently in a 100cmX50cm double cage but I would like a little more space for them and I think a homemade home would be better and easier to clean too. I would like people’s advice on what would be better for them, wood or mesh and either wood shavings as bedding or fleece type? Thank you! And if anyone has any other ideas please share! :luv:

Have you thought about C&C? :)

I’m not familiar with these, where would I get one of these from? :D
If you look on the housing part of this forum, you will see plenty of examples :D Amazon is the place to get the grids from, They’re actually sold as storage cubes. Make sure they are the correct ones though, ones with nine hole. They also come in eight and seven hole versions which are unsuitable as the holes are bigger and unsafe for furballs. The correx canbe bought in sheet 2440x1220mm.
Also, a complete kit can be obtained from here
C and C Guinea Pig Cages | Guinea Pig Cages It works out a tad more expensive but you are garranteed quality:)
Hope this helps x
