I'm on a hamster forum and we have created (well creating) a care pamphlet for hamsters to put in willing pet shops and i thought we could do the same here for guinea pigs if you think this is a good idea and would like to help then feel free to comment. Also if you would like to see our hamster guide when finished i can link you to it :)

I think that's a great idea !

Have you looked at our "Stickies" by the way ? We have a lot of stickies on here with fantastic information - I am always referring to the stickies about diet, bedding , new owner information...... etc . I know the forum staff - especially @Wiebke do a lot of hard work in keeping the stickies up to date.

To my knowledge, pet shops already have pamphlets ( I know Pets at Home do - they have their own - produced in conjunction with the RSPCA). I am sure I have seen care pamphlets in other pet shops too .

Maybe we could have one on this forum which people could print off ?

We have discussed it, but guinea pig care has changed so much in the last few years and is still so much in flux that we are constantly adjusting and updating our information stickies; any printed information would very quickly be out of date.

Some information threads are available as a pdf version, which we have offered rescues for use.
