Guinea pig club

We visited a nursing home again today with the guinea pig club. We have such a great group of kids and piggies! The parents are all very involved with the club too, so for me it’s like an adult piggie club too . I brought Jasmine the skinny pig today thinking that she would just be something unique for the residents to see, but to my surprise they loved her and most of them wanted to hold her! She did great and even curled up in one lap and started falling asleep!

What a wonderful idea to do this. I used to work with old people, so long as you don't talk down to them, they are a gold mine of interesting natter.
I expect even the piggies enjoyed themselves.

There was one old boy at Church years ago who was fascinating to talk to I really wanted to go to his funeral as he was a really interesting old guy. I didn't cos my eldest son was born on the same day.

My husband’s granny was really good at that, she was always asking how much I weighed and then would say “oh my you’ve gained some weight then”.

Yes they do. One of the ladies there was holding one of my guinea pigs. She looked and me and said, "she's probably really warm because I am not wearing a bra.". We both had a good laugh. .
