Hey my piggy is suddenly doing coughing and sneezing very loudly and frequently while eating food..... At first she just did so much coughing that she even stopped breathing but now she's eating and coughing/sneezing in between in such a loud voice. Can someone please tell me what's the matter because at this point there's not even vet anywhere even for emergencies

It may be piggy is greedy and eating too quickly. Is she doing it at other times?

She was doing it for 30-40 mins but she stopped now I don't know what it was it was definitely coughing and gagging

She was like in lot of pain for 30-40 mins she was hunching and shaking ......I don't know what or why that happened

Sorry to hear this @Ritika as I know you have no vets available, but it does sound like she was being a bit greedy and eating fast and breathed in some food, hopefully it has passed now- greedy piggies inhaling food can be very dramatic, Piggle has done this many times then been honking like a goose with asthma for half an hour, and when Ollie ate too fast and got very dramatic hiccups I almost thought he was convulsing and dying, I was just phoning the emergency vet when he stopped, sneezed, then carried on eating like nothing had happened! Hopefully it was just something like that x

Evie is a real scoffer and often sounds like she is choking/coughing and when we check on her she's simply shoved too much food into her mouth in one go.
