Hi guys

Looking for a bit of advice.

My partner is really getting into crafting (sewing) things for our piggies. Just looking for some ideas of the types of things people enjoy making and how easy they are to make, also looking for advice on size.

Currently we have:
cuddle sacks 12'' * 9" (30cm * 21cm)
Pee pads\Lap Pads 12"*12" (30cm * 30cm)
square\round cuddle cup 12" * 12" (30cm * 30cm)
Cotton hay sack (currently in use, so I cant measure it, sorry, it was just made from a fatquater..)
Tunnels - various sizes

we have a few friends with guinea pigs so we will probably be doing a lot of these for Christmas lol.

Oh and I'm currently working on a pattern for a cozy cave like this

That looks great. I’m sure your piggies will love it. Please send a pic when you’ve made it, There are a few members on GPF that are talented crafters so hopefully you’ll get some tips and suggestions soon😁
 
I whipped up a super quick cuddle sack yesterday, in the hopes that it’ll make catching my Fluffy a bit less stressful for her. So far neither pig has been near it, hehe! I’m planning on making something like this soon... got all the fleece ready :)

I love making things for piggies, I’m a big fleece fan, sadly my sewing machine has broken and in being mended atm, hopefully it will be ready soon, looking forward to make more snuggly stuff to auction fof TEAS 😀
 
Been struggling a little to have lap time with both my boys at the same time so I'm working on some kind of double cuddle sling at the moment. Basically taking the idea for a very shallow DIY tote bag with space for a couple of fleece cosies to be popped in. Hopefully the removable cosies will catch any wees and can be washed, meaning the main bag can be reused a good few times before it might need a clean. And it'll hopefully mean each of my boys has their own space.

I'll post some pictures if it goes to plan!
 
Such talent.
I have benefitted from the sewing talents of forum members as my sewing skills are limited to minor repairs.
 
there is this book on amazon I've wanted it for ages but a bit tight on money right now.

it's called "sewing for your guinea pigs" I can't get the link to work
