Hi my guinea pig is 1/2 months old and has had liquid poop for 16 hours, I'm not sure if its still going the last watery one was 3 hours ago, the closest exotic vet gave me appointment for saturday what should i do while i wait? I wanted to go sooner but thats what they told me, she keeps drinking and eating hay and seems much active as always, i didnt give her vegetables last night

Welcome to the forum and I’m sorry to hear this

Full liquid diarrhoea is usually prioritised as an urgent issue.
You could keep calling the vet and see if they can fit you in due to a cancellation. If not, then ask for advice from them in the meantime. Full liquid diarrhoea it is a pretty big issue, particularly in one so young.

Please make sure you weigh her every morning - weight checks are the only way to be certain she is definitely eating enough hay. Hay intake is not possible to gauge by eye so it can seem they are still eating not but it doesn’t mean they’re eating enough to maintain their weight.
Daily (each morning) weight checks mean you can step in promptly. Step in with syringe feeding critical care (or mushed pellets as the emergency alternative) to ensure her fibre intake is high enough.

I’m glad youve removed veg. Don’t give her any fresh food until she has fully recovered and then for a further 24 hours after.
Veg (including any new veg she hasn’t eaten before or any fresh grass) needs to be introduced very slowly and very carefully so the gut can cope with it gradually. This means when reintroducing veg you should literally start with one sprig of a herb (as it’s easier on digestion) and not introduce any more until you are certain she is ok with it. Any return of soft poops and you should remove all fresh food again

I hope she is ok
