Last week the newlyweds took occupation of a new house. It clearly wasn't quite what they had in mind, and they had to squeeze their chunky butts through the doorway. So they set to work re-modelling (pics 1-3)

So one week on, I thought I'd show you the extent of their DIY efforts. A new, much wider doorway accommodates their plentiful frames and offers Mr Ted a chance to sit surveying his territory in the sunlight. (Pics 4 &5). I'm. Not sure what will be left by next week! image.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webp

Aw, they're so fuzzy! I especially love the one on the left in the 2nd pic :luv:

I got one of these from Wilko today. No exploring yet but I bet it'll look a lot like yours in a week.

The one on the left is Miss Mollie. She's a fuzzy teddy type crossed with an Aby. Completely mad and very chunky!

Tee hee, something about Abbys, from what I've seen and read crossing with an Abby gives all sorts of interesting characters! :)

@VickiA what are these homes made of?Are they meant to be eaten?

Haha good work pigs! I hope you've both had a well earning nap... tomorrow it will be back to converting the house to a lean-to :))

Hi @Shades this is an edible house made by Rosewood Naturals. The top is coated in dried carrot and the cardboard walls are coated with dried grass. I knew it was edible, just not how quickly they would re-model it!

Haha! Well, guinea pig requirements are very specific, as we all know. My three would definitely have a hard time squashing themselves through such an inconveniently small gap!

Oh bless, them, they do love to re-model to specific requirements. Mine used to have cardboard boxes but they constantly re-modelled and I got fed up of replacing the boxes, So I had some ply wood ones made.
I love that all pigs don't like the things we provide until they are up to their standards.

HAH! My guinea did exactly the same thing! It made us laugh plus he was playing with my son (himi) Cesaro would knock it over when my son turned it the right way up lol, he's a very clever lad, he was playing with a bit of hay I was tickling his nose with last night lol. You have beautiful guinea pigs.

Omg they strike again @Galaxy&nibbles  (It's ok Galaxy will know what I mean lol).

Got mine one of these, they LOVE it! it looks like a chewed cardboard box now lol, but they have had so much fun with it! Will definately get another one:)

Widget loves destroying cardboard boxes, I might have to get her one of these - she's certainly the only one of the three that could get her butt inside the door!

To be honest I didn't think that Mollie would be able to squeeze her derrière in either, but she managed it and there's certainly not a width issue now! What I don't understand is why they've destroyed one side more than the other. But it looks like they plan to even it up a bit!
