I looked away and my guinea pig started to chew on tissue and ate some will this cause and harm to him or any issues

I wouldn't worry too much but do observe your piggy for any changes in behaviour. My boys sometimes get hold of toilet paper and have always been fine. Especially if it was only a little bit they nibbled. If any changes do develop then do seek a vet.

It really is unlikely to cause any problems.
Guinea pigs are well known for snacking on things they shouldn't.

Obviously keep an eye on him for a day or too, but as long as he has access to hay and water then I am sure he will be fine.

Mine nibbled a bit of a puppy pad once and they were fine..... just keep an eye on them for any sudden changes etc as advised above.. they will scoff anything they can get their cute little paws on!

Just to add to other comments my guinea pigs nibble their paper plates after a meal (they do have a stick bridge and a straw house to chew) and they have eaten puppy pad and they go mad for a plastic bag to chew if I'm not quick enough.. and they've never been ill or had dodgy poos.
