Guinea pig eating my hair

If he ate a bit then it will probably be ok but please don’t encourage it/let him nibble your hair often. Mine used to chomp on my hair too!

He was nibbling it and then I heard a slice so I pulled it away from him quick, he only managed to get half an inch. Thanks for the reply

He is probably showing his the boss of you, or he could be stressed maybe though illness, that's what happened to my little boy.

It's quite normal, it's called barbering. My late bill used to eat my hair lol. Some pigs barber other pics too.

What should I do then, if he is ill or stressed
If he's ill then you will have to get him checked by a vet that will rule out illness which in turn can be bought on by stress or illness causing stress.

How big is his cage? does he live with other Guinea pigs?

Oh dear a free haircut :)) Don’t worry, he’ll be fine! It’s a fairly common thing with pigs especially with people and other pigs with nice long hair!

Generally the only time to be concerned is if they’re barbering themselves, then it could be pain/mites etc but if it’s others then it’s just one of those piggy quirks :))
