I had 2 females and one recently died, I rehomed a neutered male as a companion.

After a week I cleaned them out and found white stuff inside their house, which made me worry about the male... but since I have seen the female ejaculate a white liquid at the male several times.

Does anyone know what this is? I can't seem to find anything about it on the internet.

It's the girl probably squirting pee at him (pee can be whiteish and cloudy when calcium is excreted in it).

You girl is - literally - telling him to p*ss off because she's not in season or not ready to mate yet.

Had to laugh, Wiebke. rolleyes

I agree, some sows find that peeing all over anyone who's bothering them is a very effective deterrant.

Really? But in three years of having her before I have never seen this! Is it because she was with another girl and didn't have that problem?

It would make sense as he is purring around her and mounting her a lot.

Girls do it mainly with overeager guys (who, in turn, spray them with their testosterone laden pee to mark them as "his" to any rivals)! A lively season can turn into quite a spray fest!

However, after a few seasons, things will calm down a bit more and they will settly with just the occasional lively season.

My girls sometimes do this to each other too.. Pippa is the worst for it and it seems to be a trick that Pixel is learning too rolleyes

Does this also apply to guinea pigs?

You make me laugh you do :(|):(|):(|)

Thanks for the warning! Patch has just been neutered and will be going in with the girls in 5 wheeks and I think he'll be eager to see them! I'll be ready when the girls tell p*ss of by p*ssing on him, there are no other boars to he won't have any competition in the herd.
I had Patch in the piggy tent where the girls had been just an hour ago and he jumble struted like mad then left white liquid all over! Is this pee or 'boar juice'?

i actually have 3 females and 1 is ejaculating.... I'm not sure if it is actually a female....

If you are not sure of the sexes of your guinea pigs, can you take pictures of their bits so that the more experienced members of the forum can check the sexes for you?

Last thing you'd want is a boy in with your 2 girlies getting them pregnant

Our guinea-pig lady Patch often sprays the male Sparky with pee. He has managed to impregnate her once and has been neutered and I think she's had enough.

Females do it to other females too, Poppy used to spray her cage mate Peaches every time she got a bit too close lol! It's their way of saying "Back off" I guess! :))
