Hi everyone, please help me my guinea pig eyes are becoming cloudy. She can't see properly. Not her full eyes cloudy.she can see partially.I did an eyesight test with light and it's not fully cloudy. It is inside eye.Is there any option to revert back. And she is 5 years old. Please give your valuable suggestions with experience. Thanks 🙏

Morning I am not one of the experts but I hope someone will be here soon to advise but generally any eye concerns should have a vets opinion. When did the cloudiness start? Can you see any injury to her eye from a cage mate?

I’m sorry to hear this.

She needs to be seen by a vet for diagnosis. Sudden onset cloudiness means most likely an ulcer caused by an injury such as haypoke is forming. This is painful and she needs to be seen by a vet for the correct diagnosis and treatment. Eye injuries are considered urgent as they deteriorate very quickly, and need to be seen by a vet within 24 hours of the injury occurring.

The other possibility if it hasn’t occurred suddenly is cataracts but again a vet needs to check her as we cannot diagnose anything
