Guinea Pig Feature Week - Day 4: Bobby
The absolutely stunning Bobby arrived with us early this year, with his best buddy Rufus. Appearing as though he is a different pig from each side, and with those big gorgeous Disney eyes, he really is so beautiful.
We also very quickly noticed something about Bobby.....he very much reminds us of Odin. This was bittersweet at first, but mum is grateful everyday for the very sweet Bobby reminding her of her soul mate Odin.
When he first arrived, Bobby was a very nervous boy and we couldn’t get near him. Now, he’s the first one over for a gentle scratch in a morning and first one over for veggies/attention whenever anyone enters the room. He really has grown in confidence with lots of love and TLC over the last few months.
We don’t tend to handle piggies too muchOurs are handled a couple of times a week for health checking, but the rest of the time they come over to us for attention (on their own terms). We have only ever had one that enjoyed being picked up and cuddled, that was Odin (after I nursed him from him being a young baby). A rare bond.
Bobby is another of our long-haired piggies, and regularly maintenance and trimming is required to keep his coat healthy and him comfortable.
Bobby is king Wheeker in our household. He knows when you get up off a chair, walk towards his room or even the kitchen. He will very loudly make his presence known to demand attention from his hoomans!
A truly gorgeous character (inside and out), such a sweet boy. We would love to dedicate today to Bobby.
His favourite foods are coriander and bell peppers, and his favourite activity is burrowing in huge piles of hay (exactly like Odin used to)!
