So here is the second of our beautiful tri-coloured boys. Rufus arrived a few months ago with his best buddy Bobby. Of all our boar pairs, they are the most well bonded. Which is why it was so important that they were rehomed with us, as the concern of the previous owner was that some people may have separated them for breeding (with them being so rare and gorgeous). But we are very much against irresponsible breeding of animals and will keep them together for life.
As you can see, Rufus is also a very handsome boy. He is the more confident of the two and loves coming over to see his hoomans for some attention! As with most prey/small animals he is not a fan of being held, but will often jump onto your lap for some attention and cuddles. Such a friendly, loving boy.
Rufus is not as vocal as some of the other piggies, but will definitely make his presence known by nibbling the bars of his house, if he thinks the others are being fed before him. Though he is the most laid back character of our little herd. He is often bossed around by his buddy Bobby, but in true gentleman style he just takes it all in his stride. He is a very well mannered gentleman.
So we would like to dedicate today to our very handsome Rufus. His favourite foods are romaine lettuce or bell peppers. His favourite activity is following the hoomans for attention or napping
