My poor baby jumped out of my hands as I was putting him back in the cage and he cut his lip on one of their hideouts. I checked his teeth and nothing was loose however his bottom tooth was harder to check and I’m not sure if it’s okay. His lip is cut but that seems the only thing wrong. I feel absolutely terrible.

Don't worry, its just one of those things, I've had it happen with one of my pigs, luckily he fell into a big pile of hay, my rat just recently leaped out of my hand at about 5ft height. They are much more agile but I still felt guilty.

Might be worth a vet check for the teeth and to make sure the cut doesn't cut infected, seems as guine spogs are constantly foraging through hay.

Hi and welcome!

A freak jump always comes as a bad shock. See how he is later on and if necessary see a vet. Hopefully it is just a little cut.

Please follow the tips in this guide here (using a tunnel or box for any transport and the life long weekly weigh-in with videos) or train yourself to put your piggies back bum end forward with them facing you and not the cage to they will hit your softer body and not something hard if they wiggle out.

Also I forgot to mention but he’s eating and drinking okay, I really hope he’s okay :(
