I noticed this on my female guinea pigs front foot and I don’t know what it is, she now is fussy when I hold her which isn’t normal for her, she is always very calm. It kinda looks like a scab, and it inky half of it is attached to the foot, the other half comes off a bit. Is this serious or is there any advice you could give me.

Hi

You are either dealing with a stuck poo (best removed by soaking and gently working off) or a foot spur, which is a dead skin growth that is best left alone as long as it is not in danger of being caught and causing a crippling rip in the live skin. For that reason we don't recommend cutting it off at home if at all possible; if you cut too close to live skin you can cause real damage and pain. the spur will also regrow. spurs are very common and harmless.
