cocoa was playing around during floor time, and he somehow wriggled under the grids blocking the shelves of random stuff and his travel cage. The travel cage wasn't properly put together and he messed around with it, and as I went to go secure it, the top part fell. Not on him, but a near miss. He ran into the corner and when I went near him he ran away. I caught him and put m back but he's still quite scared. Will he be okay? I felt for broken bones, there aren't any. I'm positive it didn't hit him as it fell. He's all jumpy now. Will he be like this for a while? Will he be scared of that area and cage for a long time? :( I'm worried for my little cocoa bean.

I would have thought he'd be fine he's just shocked I would have thought a cuddle from mum, talk to him softly & a couple of treats will help

Either keep him under a blanket on your chest for a while until he relaxes in the safety of your warmth or put him back in his cage and leave him be. He'll get over it, but he needs time to relax and work past his prey animal instincts taking over.

Ok. I'm letting him relax in his cage cos he's so jumpy that whenever I move he claws me. Ouch! He's hiding and nomming some hay.

Okay. He doesn't wanna cuddle, he freaks out if I even inhale lol. He's just super jumpy now. Since I kinda, you know, need to INHALE, I'm letting him eat some hay in his pigloo. I think he's just in shock, yeah.

Just leave him be. He'll be right again, promise - but right now, you need to leave off and let the piggy instincts settle again, which may take a day or two. it is good that he is eating, so he will be alright and you need not worry.

Ok. I checked on him and he's okay. The sound of the door seems to startle him but he's almost normal now. I think I was just being silly haha.
