Does anyone fancy posting pictures of their piggy groups for me to drool over?

I've always fancied a nice big group, but knowing my luck, if I did, I'd end up with cages dotted all over the house because they all decided they didn't want to be friends any more :p

I have six piggies, guess they're classed as a group. But they won't sit together, and let me take a group picture.8...

Haha, always the way. My pair won't sit together for a "group pic" no way I'd manage to get 6 to sit together :D

Just posted a thread about my gang: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98699 Enjoy. Will take more group pigtures when Rocket is feeling a bit more photogenic. ;)

Awww, they are lovely drool

Two wasn't enough so we went back about 10 days later with two piggies and came home with 4.
Back in May. The first day all 4 piggies came home together.

The best way of building up a group is by starting with two bonded sows and a neutered boar of their choice, then by adding a younger bonded couple of sows - that way, you prevent most potential outsider situations. With five piggies you start getting group behaviour and it is getting easier to introduce newbies (preferably non dominant or with a group background).

Dating at a rescue for compatibility is a good way of making sure that the piggies are getting on.

Wiebke overload of piggies!x) love the pic where they're all at their individual feed bowls.drool

OMG! What a thread!

Klee - Rosie pictures, I need a warning when you post these..... x) drool

What a wonderful thread this is! I love it! Especially's Weibke's pic of her tribe all at their individual feeding bowls at the same time! How do you get a pic like that?! Must be trick photography, surely! Magical!

The only group shot of my gang:

Left to right, Minnie, Toffee, Lilly and Scrummy. xx

They were not amused at being made to sit in a row like that, hense the pee'd off expressions from Minnie and Lilly x

I started with a pair Rosie and Rum

Then went on to adopt 3 Welsh beauties Maggie, Milkshake and Pixie

I love seeing group shots! Thery're all gorgrous, but that shot of MargeAndCinnamon junior is just lush...x)

Heres my group of 5:
Floss, Roxy, Oscar, Violet and Primrose.

10oct2012003_zps9b088d65.jpg

I started with Violet and Primrose, then added Roxy a few months later, then over a year later added Floss, followed by Oscar (neutered boar) a few months after that. I've just noticed that there seems to be a pattern developing...2 piggies a year! I wonder who will perhaps join the herd in 2013...? ;)
