New Born Pup
In the last few days I have read so many threads about giving guinea pigs a hair cut when they have a matted bit and watched YouTube videos galore. Our piggy doesn’t like being held and is extremely skittish.
We have just managed to remove the Matt with pet clippers and by god if we can do it anyone can!
I have been so nervous because I knew she would hate it and I wasn’t sure if we could manage. Last time I cut her hair was around Nov and I used scissors and it was very traumatic for both of us! Today we blocked of part of her cage, my husband managed to hold her in a towel whilst I trimmed the matted bit off her butt. She didn’t squeak or squeal and she is now popcorning around loving life
I just wanted to share in case anyone is in the same situation as us as I know how bad I felt about it and now it’s done I feel so good!

and was very helpful. The first time we did it we used a tube for her to hide in which was good. Just so glad that we managed to get a good cut this time and know that we can do it again. So glad she will be more comfortable now!
