Just wondering what peoples opinions are of harnesses for guineapigs, have seen them on rabbits before but buns are a different shape to pigs.
Personally I would be worried about them wriggling out of it but then again I've never tried them, have no need to but just wondering what others think of them?

I hate the idea, and wouldn't think a harness is at all suitable for a piggie. I'm sure it would terrify them, too.

I don't use them myself.I find that they get tame enough to run about and i am able to pick them up with no hassle so do not use them.
I don't tink you could teach them to 'lead' as such so poor piggy would end up being dragged around

in a word, my opinion is no!

its so bad for the piggy, for it's back and neck. they're not like dogs that can be trained. they're cruel and unnecessary.

No no no! these are dangerous for them! you should just let them run around naturally, they arent dogs at the end of the day.

With guineas, I go for a 'as close to nature as possible' approach and really, guinea pigs aren't made for being tied up. They enjoy roaming and running free. They can also cause injury to the spine.

No no no it is cruel, how come they are allowed to sell them?

I agree with everyone else. A big fat NO. I really do not see the point in them. They are just dangerous and cruel. I'm going to get one for my kitten for the first time we let him go outside but this will just be so that I can let him sniff around and get his barrings and surroundings before he goes exploring altogether. I would never use one on Connie and Eliza though.
