:-\ whats any ones views on these harnesses that they sell to take your guinea pigs out on the grass with??

They are lethal and should be banned to be honest. They can cause back injuries and even death.

ok my daughter saw one in the local store where i got archie from but i said i woul have tolook up on that one as i didnt like the sound of them. Any one else experienced these things before

They sound horrible, guinea pigs are not dogs, they wouldn't understand what they were meant to do and my pigs would freak out. I would never get one. :tickedoff:

I've never used them and I never will. They can't be tight enough to not let the piggy escape but loose enough to not hurt it. Also, if the piggy runs for a dark area and you're holding a lead it could really hurt itself. I think they're dangerous and shouldn't be used :)

Well done for doing your research before wasting your money on one O0

i agree with the others i dont like these and would never use one :)

ok i knew in my heart the answer really before i asked but it helps me explain to the little one if i have plenty of negative feedbacks do you know wht i mean. ann and arch have such alot of freedom it would really distress them to be in something tight and restricting thanks for your views ladies

Yep it does help to get other people's views, just backs up your case. :) It's like the balls for guinea pigs they should be banned too! :)

Some stores sell the balls, you know what you put Hamster inside to have a run around, well they sell bigger ones too for Guinea Pigs to get into only they are dangerous.

Mine like the little willow balls to push with their noses and play Guinea Pig football ! :)

ooh right they are too big to put into a ball like that arn't they mine nudge a little ball around as well and they love teddies to snuggle up to too.

I know! Pigs can get so big. Sunshine is huge now I struggle to pick him up! ;D

Ah they are cute, I always think of a Guinea Pig Olympics when I see them playing, but then I think I'm a bigt daft! ;D

A friend had one for her rabbit years ago. The rabbit managed to chew right through it and didn't like it one bit. Luckily, he didn't swallow any of the fibers. Guinea pigs (well any pet) should be allowed to run around freely in a safe environment.

When I was unknowledgeabe I bought one of these and my guinea pig slipped straight out :-\

Aside from that they are dangerous and should be banned O0

I had one for my rabbit as i took him for walks only to trim his nails down as he wouldnt let me do it myself ::)

My aunties friends daughter who had Badger before i got him bought him a pink lead :-\ They moved house and wanted me to have him and didnt even ask for the stupid lead he had ::) I bonded him to one of my boars and they are still happy together today ;D no lead/harness :D

Gpigs bodies are not designed for a harness. Shops will advertise anything to make a bob or two
