Guinea Pig Has White Urine.

SO i JUST got a Guinea Pig yesterday. This is my first one. I did not due my research on Guinea pigs since I did not plan on having one, but my friend needed to give hers away, So I took it in. I noticed that the poop was orange yesterday and today it is brown. The urine was yellow yesterday, and today it was white. Is this normal? Its been eating a lot of cucumbers, it still has pellets and i bought TIMOTHY hay. But it's just unusual to me. It had carrots yesterday, then apples, and now the hay and cucumbers. I read that it could be gall stones? thank you!

The yellow urine could have been coloured by the carrots, but it also goes orange/browny when it oxidises in the air. White urine is fine that's piggy getting rid of excess calcium, it's only a worry if it feels gritty. Poop is normally dark brown but can vary in colour depending what they have been eating, beetroot turns it reddy! I hope you enjoy caring for your unexpected pet, ask any questions if you feel worried. It's good you are doing your research now, that guinea is lucky to have found you to care.

Yep. Have a GENTLE feel just above the button. If it's smooth it's a girly if you can feel a penis ridge it's a boy. Also you could always put a photo of you piggies bits on here.
